Product help
Attached lid containers have hinged lids that stay fixed to the box, making them useful for transport, distribution and reusable tote systems. Euro containers usually have separate lids and standard footprints, making them ideal for stacking, shelving and pallet layouts. Totebox has a similar FAQ distinction between these product types.
Euro containers use standard modular footprints, commonly including sizes such as 400 × 300mm, 600 × 400mm and 800 × 600mm, so they work well with pallets, shelving and dollies.
For repeat use, often yes. Plastic boxes are stronger, more durable, more resistant to moisture and can be reused many times, making them better suited to storage, handling and transport. Totebox’s FAQ makes the same broad point about plastic lasting longer than cardboard.
Some products are suitable for food use, but this depends on the product and material. As a general guide, virgin plastic is usually more suitable for direct food contact than recycled plastic. Check the product details or contact us if food use is important.
Virgin plastic is generally chosen where maximum strength, colour consistency or food-contact suitability matters. Recycled plastic can offer strong performance at a lower cost and with environmental benefits, depending on the product and use case. Totebox’s blog also frames this as virgin for heavy-duty/food-grade use and recycled for many general storage uses.
Sectors & common uses
Euro containers, attached lid containers, picking bins, pallet boxes, dollies and stackable crates are commonly used for picking, storage, transport and stock organisation.
Storage boxes, trays, classroom tubs, picking bins and shelving-compatible containers are useful for stationery, equipment, documents and general organisation.
Look for easy-clean containers, lidded boxes, trays and organised storage systems. Hygiene, labelling and segregation are usually the key considerations.
